On the morning of May 13, 2022, the body of Morey Pelton, a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male, was discovered by a passerby in the parking lot of the Lane Clark Rest Area on U.S. Highway 26, situated between Ririe and Swan Valley, Idaho. An investigation quickly determined he had been killed by a single gunshot wound, launching a homicide investigation into the father of two's final moments.
