Did anyone else find it curious about the numerous surveillance cameras Verville had installed around his property? It strikes me as exceptionally sad that a tool meant for his own sense of security ended up playing no role in preventing this tragedy. As neighbors mentioned his paranoia, I wonder if the cameras were more of a reflection of his mental state than a protective measure. It's really distressing to think about how untreated mental health issues can create such a dangerous environment, not just for the person suffering but for unsuspecting individuals like Daniel Rabideau too. I can't even begin to imagine the devastation Daniel's family must be feeling right now. He was just doing his job, a routine call that he probably did countless times before. This whole situation reminds me of how critical it is for mental health issues to be taken seriously and addressed more proactively within our communities.
