On May 24, 2016, in Londonderry, New Hampshire, 59-year-old Daniel Rabideau, a technician for City Fuel, was fatally shot while performing a routine service call at the residence of 71-year-old Richard R. Verville. Rabideau had arrived at Verville's home to conduct an annual tune-up of the heating system. While he was working, Verville shot him from behind, resulting in Rabideau's immediate death from a gunshot wound to the head.
