Does anyone else feel completely baffled by the jury’s not guilty verdict for Ramos-Rivera? I can’t wrap my head around how this ended with no accountability. From what I understand, it started as a neighborhood dispute, but Christopher Veliz lost his life, which seems so senseless. My heart genuinely goes out to his family, especially his mother, Diane Rocca. Navigating such a loss and then facing a verdict like that must be incredibly difficult. I just can’t imagine the frustration and pain they’re experiencing right now. I hope they find some form of peace and that Christopher's memory is honored in a meaningful way. What do you guys think about the self-defense argument? It doesn't quite sit right with me.

I'm truly taken aback by the verdict in the Christopher Veliz case. My heart goes out to Christopher's family, especially his mother, Diane. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through, facing such a tragic loss and then having to confront this unexpected outcome in court. I understand self-defense is a tricky defense, but how does someone claiming self-defense end up firing shots into a car with minors inside? It just doesn't sit right with me. Regardless, I can't help but feel for the Veliz family, who must now process not only their loss but also a verdict they believe denies them justice. Sending all my strength and thoughts to his loved ones. Anyone have insights into why the self-defense argument might have swayed the jury?
