I've been thinking a lot about the Constant family and how much they meant to the Barre community. This tragedy was so unimaginable, especially for a family that seemed to be so involved and well-liked in the area. It's just devastating that something like this happened right in their home, a place that should have been one of love and safety. I can't stop thinking about the neighbors and friends who must have woken up on that January day in 1961 to such horrific news. It certainly must have left an indelible mark on everyone who knew them. My heart goes out to everyone who loved Huguette, Paul, Michael, and Joanne. It's another reminder of how important it is to support those dealing with mental health struggles before it's too late. Does anyone remember how the community came together after this? I've heard stories of memorials but would love to know more.
