I've been following the Newport case since the news broke, and there's something I keep coming back to: that haunting shout, "Get your hands off of her," before the shots. It makes me wonder if there was someone else involved that we don't know about. Could there have been a third party present who played a role in the escalation? My heart truly goes out to the families. Losing someone to violence like this leaves such an enormous void, and it’s really hard to make sense of it all. If anyone hears more about this aspect or has insights, I’d be interested in discussing it more. I think the community needs to piece together as much as we can to find some clarity and perhaps a bit of peace.
I can't stop thinking about the person who screamed during the confrontation. I can't imagine the fear and panic they must have felt witnessing such a tragic event unfold. This kind of violence leaves scars not just on the victims and their families but also on those who happen to be nearby. I hope they're getting the support and counseling they need.
