I've been thinking about the role of surveillance in this case and how it helped track down the suspect. The surveillance footage was crucial in finding the hidden revolver and piecing together the events leading up to that tragic day. While there's always a debate about privacy and the extent of surveillance, it's times like these when you realize how valuable these systems can be in delivering justice for victims and their families. It's comforting to know that justice was served for Eddy Parsons, but it's equally important to have these discussions on how best to use technological tools in preventing and solving crimes. Sending thoughts to Eddy's family and all those who was affected by his loss.

It's truly devastating to think about how a young life with so much potential was cut short in such a senseless manner. I was reading about William "Eddy" Parsons, and I just keep thinking about his dream of becoming a Rhode Island State Trooper. It's haunting to realize he'll never get that chance. It sounds like Eddy was someone who genuinely cared about his community and had aspirations to make it a better place. The fact that he was just waiting for his dad after school when this tragedy took place is so difficult to wrap my mind around. It's such a chilling reminder of how gun violence can instantly change lives forever. My heart goes out to Eddy's family and everyone at Central High School who knew him. None of you deserved this. Does anyone know if there are any initiatives or programs being put in place in his memory to help prevent something like this from happening again? Something to channel all this grief into a positive change would truly honor Eddy’s kind spirit.
