Has anyone else been following the Jorge Garcia case? It's so unsettling to think about how someone could be shot in broad daylight while just having breakfast with a friend. I can't imagine the chaos and fear those in the café must have felt at that moment. The fact that the suspects were caught with such coordinated efforts by the police is a relief, but it doesn’t bring Jorge back or ease the pain for his friends and family.
One thing that's been on my mind is how Rivera and Castro managed to operate under the radar for so long. If they were involved in a separate homicide in North Carolina, I wonder what other activities they might have been involved in and how they went unnoticed. It really makes you think about the dangers lurking in our communities and how a moment can change everything.
Thoughts and condolences go out to Jorge's loved ones. It's so important for communities to stand together against violence and support one another in healing and seeking justice. If you're local, have there been any community vigils or support initiatives to honor him?

I've been following the Jorge Garcia case and something that really sticks out to me is the use of those two vehicles caught on surveillance. It’s chilling to think how coordinated the suspects were, almost like a scene from a movie, but this is real life and it took away a person from his loved ones. I can't even imagine the fear and chaos inside Roque’s Café during those moments.

Does anyone else find the choice of a public place for such a brazen act significant? It makes me wonder if the location had specific meaning or if it was chosen precisely for the shock factor. People going on about their day, having breakfast with friends—it just feels like nowhere is truly safe.

Sending lots of strength to Jorge’s family and friends. It’s so hard to think how deeply their lives have been altered forever. I hope they can eventually find peace amidst all this horror. It’s a grim reminder of how much needs to be done about gun violence.
