I’ve been following Cody Allen Schmidt’s case, and I can’t get over the impact this tragedy has had on the entire Sioux Falls community. Knowing that Cody lost his life over something as trivial as a cell phone dispute is just so unsettling. It's a powerful reminder of how quickly things can spiral out of control. I can’t help but think about Cody’s family and friends, who are forever altered by this senseless act of violence. It must be incredibly hard for them to come to terms with the circumstances surrounding his death. I hope Sorbel’s upcoming trial brings them some sense of peace. It’s just devastating to see the ripple effects of such a crime on everyone involved, including the community that knew and loved Cody.

Does anyone else find it chilling how a small dispute could turn so violent? Cody's case has been on my mind lately, especially with how disagreements over something as minor as a cell phone can spiral out of control. It’s just so disturbing to think that a situation that might seem trivial could lead to such a tragic outcome. It makes me feel for Cody's family and friends, knowing that the loss they suffer from came from something that might seem so preventable in hindsight. Everyone affected by this is in my thoughts. I hope Sorbel’s upcoming trial provides some closure for them. How did things ever get so out of hand?

Has anyone else been following the legal proceedings of this case? I've been reading about how Rodriguez took a plea deal, and I can't help but wonder about the impact on Cody’s family. It must be incredibly difficult for them to watch as these legal decisions are made, knowing that the outcome won't bring Cody back. Has anyone heard anything about how they are holding up? Also, Sorbel's trial was supposed to be in July 2022—did anyone catch the outcome? I'm hoping this means closure is on the horizon for those who loved Cody, but it’s still just unbelievably sad to think about how such a senseless dispute could lead to something so tragic.
