I recently stumbled upon the Chidsey case from 2016, and something that's been on my mind is the mindset behind these tragic murder-suicide incidents. It's always so hard to imagine the deep despair or turmoil that someone might be going through to arrive at such a drastic and irreversible decision. From what I've read, it seems that Charles had planned this, which leads me to wonder if there were any warning signs or sudden changes in behavior noticed by family or friends prior to this tragedy. Often, those around the couple might have valuable insights into the situation that weren't immediately apparent. It's just so saddening to think there might have been opportunities for intervention that were overlooked. My thoughts really go out to Muriel's family and friends. Navigating through such a loss, while also grappling with the nature of how it happened, must be incredibly difficult.

I was reading about the Chidsey case and couldn't help but think about the role of isolation in such tragedies. Living in a close-knit community like Lander, it's shocking to hear of such a devastating incident. It makes me wonder about the couple's social connections or if they had anyone to turn to during difficult times. Did Muriel or Charles have family or friends they regularly interacted with? It's possible that feeling disconnected or unsupported might have played a role in this unfortunate outcome. I genuinely hope the community is rallying around any surviving relatives to offer their support in this difficult time. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

It's so difficult to comprehend how something like this happens. I've been thinking a lot about the community reaction in Lander. It must have been a seismic event. Muriel and Charles seemed to have lived long lives together, so I can imagine their community might be struggling with wrapping their heads around this tragedy. Did anyone hear much about how they were perceived in their neighborhood before all this happened? I wonder if there were any signs that things weren't right. It’s incredibly sad to think about what could lead to such a drastic and tragic decision. My heart goes out to their family and friends who are left grappling with this.
