Did anyone else notice how quickly the charges against Cody Hess were reduced from second-degree murder to voluntary manslaughter? I find the whole legal shift a bit puzzling, honestly. It's just tragic how a once-heroic figure like Michael Brody Robbins, who served our country, found himself in such a terrible situation at home—one that ultimately cost him his life. I can't begin to imagine what his family is going through right now. The legal process can sometimes seem so impersonal, but for them, it must feel all too personal and painful. I hope justice is served, whatever that might look like in this case. If anyone has insights on why charges might get reduced like this, I'd really appreciate it.
