It's so difficult to wrap my head around the tragic events at Romero Park. I've been thinking a lot about Michael Tolar and his impact on the community. It's clear he was much loved and involved in so many activities around Cheyenne. His dedication to Cheyenne Frontier Days for twenty years shows just how committed he was to giving back and being a part of something greater. Being on the Rodeo Committee for all those years is no small feat, and his work with them surely brought joy and excitement to so many in the area.
It must be incredibly tough for those who knew him to reconcile the vibrant, active person they knew with this heartbreaking event. Meeting someone as genuine and supportive as Michael isn't common, and it seems he left a lasting mark on everyone he crossed paths with. To his family and friends, I can only send my deepest condolences and hope they find solace in the memories they have of him.
It's so important that we, as a community, come together during times like this, hold onto the good times, and continue to support each other. Michael's contributions were significant, and the community will surely feel his absence. Let's remember him for the positive influence he had on Cheyenne and keep his spirit alive by continuing to cherish those around us.
