Has anyone else been following the Todd Shaver case closely? I'm really disturbed by the whole thing, especially considering it happened in such a peaceful place like Honaunau. How do you even begin to grapple with something like this occurring in your own community? I can't imagine what Todd's family and friends must be going through. What puzzles me is why it took so long to resolve. The shift from second-degree murder to a manslaughter plea deal is a huge leap, and it makes me wonder what prompted that decision. Was there something in the evidence or testimony that wasn't strong enough? It’s unsettling how little information got out about the specifics of what happened. My thoughts are definitely with those who knew Todd—they must still have so many unanswered questions.
