Todd Shaver, a 52-year-old man from Honaunau, was gravely wounded on the evening of July 3, 2014, when police were called to a house on the 83-5300 block of Highway 11 in South Kona. Authorities said the home was being rented to several tenants, and when officers arrived they found Shaver suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
