Has anyone else noticed the confusion surrounding Enos McCracken's place of death? It's quite puzzling how some sources list Kiowa, Kansas, while others say Kiowa-city, Alabama. I know mistakes can happen in historical records, but it's so important for the family and the community to have the correct information about his final moments. If we rely on the most accurate sources, it appears he passed away in Kansas. I wonder if the mix-up could be due to similar place names or a recording error from over a century ago. It's incredible how something like this can still cause mystery all these years later. I'm hoping that someone might come across more detailed records or personal accounts that can clear up this discrepancy for the sake of preserving the truth about Enos's story. Keeping his memory accurate is the least we can do for him and his loved ones.
