Hey all, I've been diving into the details of Officer Elsie T. Lewis's tragic murder in 1928, and something that really stood out to me was the incredible bravery of his partner. Despite being wounded, this officer managed to chase down the suspects and, with the help of some courageous citizens, got them into custody. It's a testament to his dedication and the community's support. It's always remarkable to see how people can come together in the darkest of times. My heart goes out to Officer Lewis’s family, especially his wife and son, who had to endure such a tremendous loss. How do you all feel about the risks our officers take every day and the community's role in helping them when things go sideways?
