I recently came across the story of Officer C.C. Solomon and felt compelled to share my thoughts on the aftermath his family must have faced. Losing a loved one is an unimaginable burden, but when it happens in such a public and violent way, I can’t begin to fathom the added layers of grief his family had to endure. It's difficult to think about how his partner and children had to cope with such a sudden loss. I hope they were able to find some peace and support from the Selma community and the wider law enforcement family. It's a somber reminder of the brave individuals who put everything on the line for our safety. My heart goes out to his family, and I hope they know that Officer Solomon’s sacrifice is never forgotten.
