Hey everyone, I’ve been following Herbert Lee McKinnon's disappearance, and something struck me about how long it took for the missing report to be filed. It was eleven days from when Mr. McKinnon was last seen to when his stepson reported him missing. I understand sometimes it takes family a while to notice when an elderly relative doesn’t come home right away, especially if solo walks are a common part of their routine. But with his known cognitive issues from his 2008 head injury, it seems like a long time. Does anyone else find this unusual or know what might the reasons be for such a delay? Maybe someone with experience in these kinds of situations could explain how this usually plays out. It’s just one of those things that seems odd, given the circumstances.
