It's so sad to think about what Josh Myers must have gone through on that day. Imagine being a deputy, chasing down a suspect, all while having no idea that your own loved ones were victims. It's just unimaginable. Being part of law enforcement, Josh was committed to keeping the community safe, yet he tragically lost Andrea and Corrine to such senseless violence. It's a reminder of how life can change in an instant, and how the families of those who serve in these roles face unique risks and challenges. My thoughts are with him and the entire Myers family, as well as the Samson community, as they navigate this deep and enduring loss. Their strength and resilience are truly inspiring.

Has anyone else been struck by how Andrea Myers' involvement as a volunteer firefighter reflects her character and dedication to helping others? Her commitment to serving in the Mulvane Fire Department definitely shines a light on the type of person she was—selfless, brave, and community-oriented. It’s beyond tragic that someone who dedicated her life to protecting others became a victim of such senseless violence. In these dark times, I find a bit of solace knowing that Andrea lived a life of purpose and left a legacy of kindness and service. My heart deeply goes out to her family, particularly her husband Josh, who was in such an unimaginable situation. The courage and strength he shows while grappling with this loss is truly remarkable. Andrea will be remembered not just for the life she led, but for the incredible impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her.
