I’ve been reflecting on how the tragic end of the Dantzers' lives has impacted their community, especially considering Phyllis's active involvement in the Ashford First United Methodist Church. Such close-knit community bonds can make this sort of loss even more profound, as her fellow church members likely felt like extended family to her. I can’t imagine the shockwaves this event sent through their congregation. She seemed like the kind of person who lit up the room and brought people together. As they gather for Bible study or Sunday services now, her absence must be deeply felt. I'm thinking of everyone in Ashford who knew and loved them, and hoping that in time, the memories of Phyllis and Laurence will bring more comfort than pain.
