I remember reading about Earl Kuhl's case and being struck by how little attention it got outside of local circles. One thing that's been on my mind is the fact that he vanished shortly after undergoing a medical procedure for a heart condition. Could the medication or just the stress of being in the hospital have disoriented him enough that he wandered away, not realizing where he was headed? Hospitals can be confusing to navigate, especially for elderly patients. Given his health conditions, it seems unlikely he could have traveled too far on his own. I'm curious if the layout of the medical center and its surrounding areas were ever thoroughly examined. Were there blind spots in security or areas that weren't monitored as well as they should have been? This case is definitely a puzzle, and it feels like a fresh set of eyes could bring some new perspectives to it. Thoughts?
