I can't believe this happened in such a close-knit community like McCalla. My heart goes out to Doris and those precious kids, Kimberly and Peyton. It's hard to wrap my mind around how Stephen could do something so horrific to his own family. What's really disturbing is how he tried to cover it up by sending those fake texts from Doris's phone. The thought of their relatives receiving those messages, thinking everything was okay when it wasn't, just makes everything even more chilling. I hope their extended family finds peace and support during this unimaginable time. The scars of this tragedy will linger in the community for a long time. Have any locals heard if there are plans for a community vigil or any way to support the surviving family members?

I just can't wrap my head around how Stephen could betray his own family like that. It's chilling to think about the level of deceit involved in this tragedy. Sending those misleading texts from Doris's phone to make it look like she was at the beach is just beyond comprehension. It makes me so angry to think that while people were starting to worry about Doris and the kids, he was off doing drugs with his girlfriend. I've read numerous times how neighbors and friends described them as a normal family. It’s terrifying to think that someone leading a seemingly ordinary life could do something so heinous. My heart goes out to those who knew and loved Doris, Kimberly, and Peyton. They deserved so much better. Anyone else struggling to process how people can hide so much darkness behind a normal facade?
