Has anyone looked into the possibility of John having connections in the tech community back in 1983? Given his expertise as a computer consultant, I'm curious whether he could have been in touch with early tech circles in Houston or even had the potential to disappear into a tech-related job under the radar. Back then, the tech scene was smaller and relatively close-knit, so perhaps someone from that era might recall seeing him. It's a long shot, but tapping into tech forums or groups for that time might yield some overlooked leads.
