His last known location was a bus stop in the 600 block of Richmond Avenue. At the time of his disappearance, Weichelt resided in a townhouse on Cheyenne Avenue in Houston. Very few details are available regarding the circumstances of his disappearance.
Weichelt was described as a white male with dark blond hair and blue eyes, standing between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and weighing between 145 and 165 pounds. He had a scar on his side and wore a partial upper dental plate. He may have also had a mustache. His nickname was Jack. Weichelt had a history of alcohol abuse.
Prior to living in Houston, Weichelt had resided in several other locations, including Toledo, Ohio, where he worked as a cobalt consultant for Toledo Hospital. He also had ties to Anderson, Indiana, and Cullman, Alabama. He was known to be very skilled with computers.
One theory suggests that Weichelt's struggles with alcohol may have led to him living on the streets. His brother last saw him at the bus stop, noting that Weichelt's car was "in the shop" and that he declined a ride.
