Does anyone else find the timeline surrounding the investigation a bit puzzling? Perez Dewayne Burress was tragically taken from this world in November 2015, yet the indictment for Michael Joray Norton didn’t come until December 2016. I understand these things can take time, but over a year seems like a long period between arrest and indictment. I feel deeply for Perez's family and friends who had to endure such a prolonged period of uncertainty. Was there perhaps a delay due to gathering more evidence, or could there have been other factors at play that we're not privy to? It must have been incredibly difficult for those close to Perez, waiting for the wheels of justice to turn. If anyone has insights into why there might have been such a gap, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
