I've been following Cedric Deon Williams's case, and something that stands out to me is the school community's response, particularly the actions of Selma High School's principal, Emma Theresa Alexander. It must have been incredibly challenging for her and the school staff to help students navigate such a painful time, especially when the high school was supposed to be buzzing with excitement about graduation just weeks away. The decision to provide grief support and implement additional security measures shows a deep care for the well-being and safety of the students. It's disheartening to think about how this tragic event might have overshadowed what should have been one of the most exciting times of Cedric's life and that of his classmates. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone in the Selma High community as they continue to cope with this loss. I really hope that anyone with information comes forward to give Cedric's family the justice they deserve.
