Hey folks, I've been following Kevin Hamby's case with keen interest and something that's been bothering me about the recovery operation is the location where the Polaris RZR was found. Has anyone mentioned the fact that it's almost like the area it was discovered in was practically invisible, even with all the advanced tech used initially? Being caught against a tree 250 yards from a service road seems strangely close, yet elusive.
What strikes me is the steep terrain. Has anyone discussed the topography of the area in detail? Given his medical history, navigating such rough terrain could’ve been especially treacherous for Kevin. If he was in pain or struggling with his hips, it might explain why his tracks stopped so abruptly five miles in. It feels significant somehow, like he perhaps unintentionally got himself into an area difficult to be found unless you knew the nooks and crannies.
Any thoughts on what the nature of the terrain could have meant for Kevin in those initial hours or days? Would love to hear different perspectives.
