Ricardo Hill was shot and killed in the early morning of Sunday, January 4, 2009. The shooting happened about 2:57 a.m. in front of a residence at 1638 Independence Ave. SE in Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch investigated and classified the death as a homicide.

The motive and circumstances publicly remain unclear and the case is unsolved. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction, and no suspects or arrests have been announced.
