Anyone else find it odd that David Deramus, Elizabeth's son, survived the shooting with just a leg injury? I can't stop thinking about what must be going through his mind right now. Losing both a mother and a stepfather in such a violent way is unimaginable. I hope he's surrounded by friends and family who can provide support. It's so difficult to wrap my head around an event like this in such a seemingly peaceful neighborhood. You always hear about how these things just don't happen in your own backyard, until they do. I wonder how the dynamics in the household might have played into this tragedy. Sending my thoughts to everyone affected, and hoping David finds some solace and peace in this difficult time.
