Has anyone else been digging into the Charles Gazzam Hurd case? Something that's been puzzling me is the aftermath of his car crash. It's odd that his Ford convertible was never recovered, given that it would surely have made an impression to get repairs in such a tight-knit era. And that license plate—New Jersey I-E 65231—should've been a lead. Were records just not kept well at the time or is there more that was potentially swept under the rug? Plus, being from a notable family, I'd have thought there'd be more buzz and pressure to get to the bottom of his whereabouts. Anyone have thoughts on why the car simply vanished alongside him?
