Hi everyone,
I've been reading through some of the threads about Derrick Buford's murder, and something that's been on my mind is the efforts the community can make to assist the police in solving these cases. It's so discouraging to think that even with rewards being offered, cases like Derrick's are still left unanswered. I'm really hoping that someone out there who knows something will find the courage to come forward.
I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through, not only having lost Derrick in such a violent way but also lacking closure after all this time. It's a harsh reminder of how much work needs to be done to prevent these tragedies and bring justice to our communities. Does anyone know of any new initiatives or community meetings that might help push this case forward?
Let's continue to raise awareness and support each other. Derrick deserves justice, and his family deserves answers.
I’ve been following Derrick Buford’s case, and I can’t stop thinking about his family and their search for justice. With so much time passed since his tragic death on MLK Jr. Avenue, it must be incredibly difficult not having answers. Offering a $5,000 reward seemed like a good step, but it’s frustrating that it hasn’t brought new leads. It’s a constant reminder of how challenging it can be to solve cases like this. I hope someone with information comes forward soon so that Derrick's loved ones can find some peace. Does anyone know if there have been any community efforts or events to keep his case in the public eye?
I’ve been following Derrick Buford’s case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It's so frustrating to see another unsolved case from 2017. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for his loved ones, not having answers after all this time. What’s been lingering in my mind is the location of the incident. The 1600 block of MLK Jr. Avenue... Does anyone know if there were any surveillance cameras in the area or if businesses around there had footage from that night? It’s hard to believe that no one saw or heard anything that could lead to justice for Derrick. I hope people who might know something, even if it seems small or insignificant, will come forward. Every detail could make a difference. Stay strong to everyone affected by this tragedy.?
