Has anyone else looked into the jury's decision to acquit Stacey Gordon under the "Stand Your Ground" law? I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the whole self-defense aspect in this case. It seems like a tough call, considering the circumstances and Michael Shane Stepp’s background. I can’t help but think about the implications for others involved in similar situations. I feel for Stepp's family despite his criminal history, as they're grappling with the loss of a loved one. At the same time, Gordon must have been terrified that night, believing he was in real danger. It’s just such a complex and tragic situation all around. Curious to hear everyone else's thoughts on how this decision might impact future cases.
