Hey everyone, just a thought I've been mulling over regarding Daniel Yeigh's disappearance. With all the search efforts and agencies involved, it's surprising that there's not a single clue or trail indicating where he might have gone. Has anyone considered the possibility that he may have encountered some unexpected wildlife while he was picking huckleberries? I remember hearing about wildlife activity being higher in that area during this time of year. It's pure speculation, but if he had a sudden encounter, he might have wandered off the path or tried to retreat quickly, losing his bearings in the process. Given the rugged terrain out there, it's easy to get disoriented. Would love to hear what others think, especially anyone familiar with that area!
I've been following this case closely since I first heard about it. Something that stands out to me is the use of a Folger's coffee can tied around Daniel's waist. That's such a unique detail! As someone who often hikes and picks berries myself, I know that folks sometimes use coffee cans for foraging or to keep essentials handy. I wonder if the search teams focused on this aspect — maybe the can could have been dropped or left behind somewhere to help track his path? Since the area is pretty dense and rugged, even a small clue like that could be significant. Anyone know how common it is for search teams to use scent trail tracking with items like that? Just seems like a potential breadcrumb that could lead somewhere. Here's hoping they find something soon. ?
