I've been diving deep into Peter Denis O'Brien's case, and one detail that's been intriguing me is his decision to pay rent in advance. It's a small puzzle piece, but it might hint at his plans or mindset before he disappeared. Sure, paying rent could just be a responsible thing to do, especially if he didn't want to leave his landlord in a bind. But, considering he left nearly all personal belongings behind, it could also suggest that he might have been planning a short trip rather than vanishing for good. Or maybe it was just to keep up appearances that everything was normal? It's baffling because it seems like he was caught between setting roots (paying rent) and breaking free (taking his passport). Does anyone else think this could be significant, or am I reading too much into it?

Has anyone noticed the unusual circumstances around how Peter O'Brien left his belongings behind? I find it really strange that he left his wallet, keys, cell phone, and especially his car, but took his laptop and passport. It almost seems like he planned to disappear but was still trying to keep connections open, maybe for work or contacting people later. Could there be something significant on his laptop that he wanted to keep private, or was he planning to use it wherever he was going? The fact that his rent was paid in advance makes me think he wasn't planning to be away for long or that he wanted to keep his options open. It's all so puzzling. What's everyone else's take on this detail?
