Did anyone else find it odd that Vucurevich left his wallet behind while planning what was supposed to be just a short sailing trip? It feels like an oddly meticulous decision for an excursion that was meant to last just a few hours. Maybe he was confident about returning soon, or perhaps had plans to use the wallet as a backup ID if something went wrong, knowing someone could find it and connect the dots if necessary. And then there’s the dog. I can't stop thinking about Chouinard leaving his dog onshore. As a dog lover myself, I know how attached one can be to their pet. It seems like he expected to be back soon and didn’t even consider the possibility of being away overnight. This adds another layer of mystery for me––could something unexpected have happened with the weather or the vessel that turned a casual day trip into a tragedy? For those who’ve researched similar cases or have sailing experience, is it common for people to leave such personal items behind for short trips? Does this choice reflect their trust in returning quickly? Any insights would be appreciated!
