Hi everyone, I just can't get over the fact that the janitor at Leilehua High School believed the pool of blood was a prank and washed it away. I mean, it's one of those moments where you wonder how things could've been different if he'd thought to call the authorities instead. It's so eerie to think that crucial evidence might have been lost right there. This was obviously before we had the same level of awareness about crime scenes & preservation, but it's still hard to wrap my mind around it. Has anyone else come across other cases where potential evidence was unintentionally destroyed like this? Let's remember these moments for what they teach us about attention to detail and the importance of reporting anything suspicious, no matter how seemingly insignificant.
Has anyone dove into the role of the janitor who found that pool of blood at Leilehua High? I mean, I get that he thought it was a prank and washed it away, but it feels like such a massive oversight given it was a significant amount. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to imagine what went through his mind. Do you think he had any suspicion, or was it just an honest mistake? Also, could this incident have affected his career or life afterwards? I can't help but wonder if he struggles with the "what if" just like we do when we think about Bongak Koja. It's a detail that sticks with me every time I read about this case.
