I was also struck by Huntsville's alarming homicide rate that year—25 is shockingly high for them, especially given that many were linked to domestic situations like Alex's case. It’s somewhat reassuring to hear that the police had a 100% solve rate on these cases, though it doesn’t lessen the pain for the families involved. If anyone has more insights on what led to this or personal memories of Alex they'd be willing to share, it might help us all understand a bit more.
