It’s been a couple of years now, and I remember there was a lot of talk about addressing the root causes of gun violence in Selma following his death. Taquon’s passing really shook the community, and I know local leaders and activists were pushing for change. I'm curious to know if any lasting efforts or programs have emerged as a result. I can't stop thinking about how Taquon's community has rallied together since his tragic death. It’s truly moving to see people coming together, organizing vigils, and supporting his family as they navigate this devastating loss. It says a lot about the kind of person Taquon must have been, to have touched so many lives in Selma. The city is clearly feeling his absence deeply. I hope the increased visibility and awareness will also motivate more people to speak up if they know anything that can help solve this tragic case. Sending strength and hope to those who knew and loved him.
