Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Artez McGowan? I can’t stop thinking about the fact that he was so young, with so much life ahead of him. What’s been really sticking with me is how quickly everything happened—broad daylight and in a community setting. It seems like these senseless acts of violence are becoming more frequent, and it’s so frustrating to see cases like this, where the victim’s family and friends are left without answers or closure.
I’m hoping that the Birmingham community continues to come forward with any information, no matter how small it might seem. Someone out there knows something that could help the police. I really feel for Artez’s family and friends during this time, especially having to say goodbye to him in such a heartbreaking manner. If anyone here has any updates, or ways to help amplify the call for witnesses, please share. It’s important we don’t let these cases go cold. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this horrific crime.
