I’ve been following the case of David Michael "Mike" Hammons, and I keep coming back to the location of the crime at the Shell gas station on Edwards Lake Road. Has anyone else noticed that this area has seen a few incidents like this before? It makes me wonder if there's something specific about this location that makes it a target, or if it's just sheer bad luck. Knowing the type of person Mike was—so dedicated to his family and community—it breaks my heart to think that he might have fallen victim to more than just random violence. I hope there’s increased security or measures taken in this area to protect others because no family should have to go through what the Hammons family is enduring. Does anyone local know if there've been discussions around improving safety at these spots?
