I've been following the case of Eric Surles Jr., and I keep thinking about how the concept of felony murder applies here. It's unsettling to realize that someone like Christopher Rodgers can be charged with murder even if he didn't directly shoot Eric. I understand the legal reasoning, but it feels like such a complicated situation, especially with so many details still unreleased by the authorities. I can only imagine how confusing and painful this must be for the families involved, particularly Eric's. It must be so difficult to see these legal proceedings unfold while trying to make sense of what happened that day. My thoughts are with everyone affected as more information hopefully comes to light.
