I've been following the William "Pookie" Roberson case since it happened, and I can't stop thinking about how senseless this tragedy is. It's so difficult to comprehend how a disagreement over something like a car battery could escalate so drastically that a life was lost. My thoughts are with Pookie's young daughter, Ezra Eliza. Losing a parent at such a young age is unimaginable, and I hope she grows up surrounded by love and support from her family and community. It's also upsetting to hear that there was a child present during the altercation. Having to witness such violence must be incredibly traumatic, and I sincerely hope that this child receives the care and counseling needed to help process this experience. This entire situation is just so deeply sad, and I truly wish it could have been resolved without the loss of life.
I’ve been following the tragic case of William "Pookie" Roberson Jr., and something that's been on my mind is the presence of a child during that horrific moment. It’s awful to think about a young one witnessing such violence, likely causing lifelong trauma. I hope whoever is caring for them now is getting them the support they need. It’s devastating to think that a family argument over something as trivial as a car battery could escalate to this level. My heart goes out to everyone affected, especially Pookie’s daughter. No child should have to grow up without a parent, especially under such circumstances. This case should remind us all how essential it is to find peaceful resolutions, especially within families. Thoughts and prayers for the Roberson family.
