Hey everyone,
Just saw the recent post about the shooting on Air Base Boulevard and wanted to mention something that hasn't been talked about much—how this incident reflects on the wider gun violence issue in Montgomery. We've seen those statistics from earlier in the year showing a decrease in homicides, which seemed like a step in the right direction. But here we are with another young life lost. It's incredibly frustrating. I can't wrap my head around why no arrests have been made yet. It's been five days since this tragedy, and I hope the Montgomery PD is leaving no stone unturned. In the meantime, the community can't just sit back and wait. We need more conversations around violence prevention, more initiatives to protect our young people. There’s a GoFundMe set up by Jarquerious's family, and it breaks my spirit to know they have to handle money issues on top of their grief. If we can help them even a little, it's something we can do right now. These incidents remind us how crucial it is to support each other and push for meaningful changes. Stay safe, everyone.

Has anyone else noticed how cities often report a decrease in crime, yet tragedies like what happened to Jarquerious still hit way too close to home? It's so frustrating and confusing. I really feel for the Turner family. I can't imagine the pain of losing someone so young and full of potential, especially in such a senseless way. It's important for communities to rally together—not just for justice, but for support and healing. And if anyone finds reliable updates on this case, please share. It feels like there's a lot left in the dark here. Peace and love to everyone affected.
