Hey everyone, I've been following the Phenix City Riverwalk case since it happened, and something that's been striking is how Darren Darrlyn Tremaine Harris seemed so well-loved by his community. I found out that he was quite the artist and loved singing and playing basketball. It's just so upsetting to think that someone who brought that kind of joy into the world could be taken away so suddenly. I can't stop thinking about the impact this must be having on his kids. Being a parent myself, the thought of leaving behind young ones is just unbearable. If anyone has any info on how the family is holding up or if there have been any community efforts to support them, please share. It’s times like these when our community needs to come together and rally around the ones left behind. Also, if anyone heard anything more about Daniels’ claims of self-defense, I'm curious how that aligns with what witnesses reported. This case lives in my mind, and I appreciate any new insights.
