I just can't stop thinking about Alexis's little girl. Being present during such a tragic and violent event is something no child should ever experience. It’s truly devastating that she had to witness the loss of her mother in such a horrific way. I’ve read about how the community rallied around her after the incident, and I'm relieved to hear the family is receiving support. It’s amazing how people can come together in times of crisis to show love and unity. The fact that the vigil also focused on raising awareness about domestic violence is really important. It’s heartbreaking to think there might be others out there feeling trapped and scared just like Alexis was. Her story reminds us all how crucial it is to watch for signs and be there for those who might be in danger. If any good can come from this tragedy, I hope it’s the spark needed to encourage more conversations about supporting victims before it’s too late.
