I've been following Montraze Slater's case closely, and I'm honestly moved by how much of an impact he made in Mobile. It's just so tragic to think about the gap he leaves behind in the community he loved and served. Reading about his involvement in outreach programs and how he was such a positive influence is both inspiring and devastating. He represents the kind of person we need more of, yet he's the one we've lost. I’m also glad to hear Greg Austin is stable, but my thoughts are with him as he goes through this tough recovery, both physically and emotionally. This incident just really brings home the urgent need for stronger community support systems and conflict resolution education to prevent future tragedies. The cycle of violence needs to end, and it breaks my heart to see how often these stories play out. Sending condolences to Slater's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. May his legacy fuel change and healing.
