Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Demetrius La Keen Fletcher’s tragic death, and I just can’t stop thinking about the impact this must be having on his community. From what I’ve read, it seems like he was a well-known figure in his neighborhood, and it’s just so sad to think about how his loved ones must be feeling right now. I especially feel for the witnesses and anyone else who might have been close to both Demetrius and Tracey Darnell Rush. When acquaintances are involved in such an awful incident, it must be incredibly confusing and painful for those left picking up the pieces. Witnessing an argument escalate to this level of violence is something that would leave a lasting impression. I really hope that everyone affected finds some form of peace, and that justice, whatever it looks like in this situation, prevails. Does anyone know if there’s a vigil or something being organized in the community to honor Demetrius? I think coming together to support one another might be really healing for everyone impacted. My thoughts are with them all.

My heart truly goes out to Demetrius’s family and friends, as well as those who were injured, as they navigate the aftermath of such a sad event.
