Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Ethel Moore Thomas, and something has been really bothering me. Why hasn’t there been more talk about the safety measures on Sample Avenue? If gang violence is suspected, shouldn’t there have been some warning signs or protective measures for residents in the area? I know hindsight is 20/20, but it just feels like more could have been done to prevent something as tragic as this. My heart goes out to Mr. Thomas and the entire family. It must be terrifying to think you’re safe at home and then have something like this happen. I hope the community and law enforcement can work together to improve safety and prevent further tragedies. It’s just devastating to see another innocent person like Mrs. Thomas lose their life in such a senseless way. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this. Stay safe, everyone.

I can't stop thinking about the vigil organized for Mrs. Ethel Thomas. It's so touching to see people come together to honor her life and stand with her family during such a difficult time. By all accounts, she was a remarkable woman who faced down some serious health issues with incredible strength and resilience—something not everyone can do. It’s shocking and incredibly sad that her life was ended in such a violent and unnecessary way. I really hope that the vigil not only brought comfort to her loved ones but also highlighted the urgent need for action against the violence in our community. It’s promising to hear about community activists pushing for better cooperation with law enforcement. If anyone has even the smallest piece of information about that night, I hope they find the courage to reach out to the authorities. Maybe together, we can bring some sense of justice and peace for Mrs. Thomas and her family. They truly deserve answers and closure.
