Sheldon Scott Gordy, 55, was found unconscious and unresponsive inside a Northwest Washington, D.C. apartment on the 1300 block of Nicholson Street in the early evening of January 5, 2016. He was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which ruled on March 31, 2016 that his death was caused by blunt force trauma and classified the manner of death as a homicide.
Following the medical examiner’s ruling, the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch opened an investigation and sought the public’s help. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. No suspects or arrests have been announced in connection with Gordy’s murder.
If anyone has information about Sheldon Gordy, his movements that day, or the 1300 block of Nicholson Street that evening, please come forward to assist the investigation.
