Hey everyone, I’ve been following Lena Lang’s case and can't help but keep thinking about how quickly things can go wrong when you’re out on the water. Has anyone else found it strange that she was out on a pool toy despite not knowing how to swim? It just doesn’t sit right with me, especially considering the lake’s notorious winds and depth. It’s almost like a perfect storm of unfortunate events. I mean, I totally get wanting to enjoy a day out on the lake, but it sounds super risky. I’m wondering if anyone has more info on whether she was familiar with the area or if maybe the wind picked up unexpectedly? It’s haunting to think about how the friend must feel, seeing the inflatable overturn and being unable to do anything. Really hoping for some closure for her family and friends. Anyone else have thoughts on safety practices or if this might raise awareness about similar risks in National Parks? Stay safe out there, everyone.

Has anyone else been diving at Lake Crescent? Given the challenges they faced in searching for Lena, I'm curious about the general conditions down there. I read that the water can get really deep, and from what I know, murky waters can make visibility terrible. It's so tragic that despite all the tech and man-power, they couldn't find her. I’m sure they did their best, but 600 feet… that’s incredibly intimidating. Anyone have insight into how these underwater searches typically go, especially in such tricky conditions? It just makes me wonder if it's a mystery that might remain unsolved purely due to the natural challenges of the environment.
